The Athletic claim Newcastle have seen a second bid for Leeds United winger Jack Harrison rejected, this time an offer in the region of £20million. Leeds should only be considering offers in a similar region to that of Raphinha.
Harrison, 25, earned the man-of-the-match award for Leeds on Sunday as the Whites produced a remarkable 3-0 win over Chelsea. Harrison got himself a goal and an assist, taking him to four goal involvements in three games this term.
Wearing the no.11 shirt this season, Harrison has entered the final two years of his Leeds deal. He looks revitalised under Jesse Marsch. Indeed, his current form might even convince Gareth Southgate of a call-up to the England squad.
Harrison said last week that he would not be leaving Leeds this summer. It looks much more likely that he will be signing a new deal at Elland Road, rather than leaving. Newcastle tabled their second offer last week.

David Ornstein reports on the Athletic’s website that after a first offer worth £20million including add-ons was rejected, Newcastle made a second offer of £20million up front last week. Again, it has been turned down by Leeds.
Newcastle bid rejected for Harrison: Leeds should request Raphinha fee
Leeds sold Raphinha for a fee of £50million, plus £5million in add-ons. Now, while Harrison is not worth a £55million fee just yet, the uncapped Englishman is just as important to Leeds as Raphinha was last season.
With Dan James inconsistent, Luis Sinisterra only just coming in and Crysencio Summerville still a rookie – Harrison is the club’s most-important winger. He is producing the kind of numbers Raphinha did during his two seasons at Leeds.
Leeds have already cashed in on Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha this summer. They do not need to sell. So, if they are going to consider offers for Harrison – they should only be accepting fees in the same vain as Raphinha’s Barca fee.
