Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has told The Daily Mail that he does not plan to leave Elland Road, amid rumours linking him with Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Harrison, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has said that he plans to stay at Leeds and make an even greater impact on the team than before.

The 25-year-old has been linked with Newcastle and Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail reported in July that Newcastle are keen on the former Manchester City prospect, who earns £60,000 per week as salary (SalarySport).

The Daily Mail claimed in May that Tottenham are interested in Harrison.

Jack Harrison on Leeds future amid Newcastle rumours

When asked about his future and his response on exit rumours on Leeds’s pre-season tour of Australia, Harrison told The Daily Mail. “I knew nothing about it and it threw me off.

“My answer gave the wrong impression from what I meant. Social media was talking about it and people were like, ‘What have you said?’

“But it was nothing. My intention is to be here and work hard for this team. If anything I want to make a greater impact than before and I think this is the best place to do that.”

Elland Road stay

In our view, Jack Harrison will stay at Leeds United and not move to Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The Englishman himself has now publicly said that he wants to stay, and he does seem happy at Leeds.

Harrison plays week in and week out for the West Yorkshire club, and the Elland Road faithful absolutely love him.

Now, of course, when the transfer window is open, anything is possible, but it is really hard to see Leeds sell one of their best players so late this summer.
