Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffSide that Leeds United are aware that they will not be able to bring in Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
The Italian journalist has said that he is not aware of any talks between Leeds and Pochettino.
Romano has added that the Premier League club know that the former Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain manager will not come to Elland Road now.
Leeds are on the hunt for a new manager following the sacking of Jesse Marsch.
The West Yorkshire club are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.
Pochettino is without a managerial role at the moment following his dismissal from PSG at the end of last season.
The Argentine guided PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season, but the French club failed to win the UEFA Champions League.

Pochettino worked in the Premier League with Southampton and Tottenham.
The former Espanyol boss guided Spurs to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
Diario La Nación journalist Claudio Mauri claimed on Twitter this week that Leeds made an offer to Pochettino.
The former Southampton and Espanyol manager has reportedly turned it down.

Romano said: “Despite some speculation, I’m not aware of Mauricio Pochettino being in contact with Leeds. They know he’s waiting for different kind of club with different ambitions.”
