Tottenham Hotspur were linked with Mauricio Pochettino in January 2023, and now the former Spurs boss is being linked with Leeds United.
There have been suggestions this week that Leeds could get Pochettino.
The Premier League club are looking for a new manager following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch as their head coach.
Pochettino is without a managerial role at the moment following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.
The Daily Star reported this week that the Argentine wants to take charge of Real Madrid if that particular job came up in the near future.
The former Tottenham boss does not fancy becoming the manager of a Leeds team who could get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, according to the report.
However, it seems that Leeds have pressed on with the Argentine.
And they have met with rejection.
Tottenham Hotspur-linked Mauricio Pochettino turns down Leeds United
Diario La Nación journalist Claudio Mauri has claimed on Twitter that Leeds have made an offer to Pochettino.
The former Southampton and Espanyol manager has reportedly turned it down.
Mauri wrote, as translated from Spanish: “#Leeds went in search of #Gallardo , but did not even reach Muñeco, whose entourage let the club know that he would not manage until June. Pochettino also turned down Leeds’ offer.”

Interestingly, Pochettino has been linked with a return to Tottenham as well.
TMW reported on January 23, 2023 that Tottenham are in ‘direct talks’ over a possible return of the Argentine to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Italian news outlet claimed that if Antonio Conte decided to leave Tottenham at the end of the season, then the North London club would like to bring Pochettino back.
The Sun’s Martin Lipton suggested on Off The Ball in January 2023 that if Conte let Spurs, then Pochettino would be invited back to the club to replace the Italian boss.
