Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are set to miss out on Burnley central defender Nathan Collins to Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to The Telegraph.
Leeds and Newcastle target Nathan Collins to join Wolverhampton Wanderers
The Telegraph have reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers are in advanced talks with Burnley over a £20.5 million deal for Collins.
The Republic of Ireland international centre-back could reportedly make the move to Wolves later this week.
Manchester United have also been interested in the 21-year-old, according to The Telegraph.
The latest update on the future of Collins will come as a blow for Leeds and Newcastle.
Both Leeds and Newcastle have been linked with the defender.

Missing out
The Mirror (print edition, page 73, June 19, 2022) reported that Newcastle were planning a bid for the centre-back.
The report claimed that Leeds were also looking to make a move for the Republic of Ireland international as well.
However, it seems that it is Wolves who are set to sign the defender.
Newcastle recently signed Sven Botman from Lille, so the Magpies may feel that they are not going to miss out on Collins at the moment.
However, Collins is just 21 and could develop into a superb centre-back in the coming years.
As for Leeds, they have yet to sign a new central defender this summer.
