As he ponders the next stop on his NBA journey, LeBron James is keeping busy, hosting a special recording of Mind The Game at Fanatics Fest in New York City this Thursday.
The 41-year-old has been at the center of the NBA news machine since he announced his intention to enter free agency after eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Fanatics Fest is a huge sports and pop culture convention which takes place this weekend, leading up to the World Cup final at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.
Some of the biggest names in sports will be there, including James, who will be filming his podcast in front of a live audience. With Steve Nash unavailable, he has an NBA superstar on the bench.

LeBron James invites Tyrese Haliburton to co-host special episode of Mind The Game
Tyrese Haliburton was the perfect choice to join James at Fanatics Fest. He took over JJ Reddick’s hugely popular The Old Man and the Three Podcast when the host got a job coaching the Los Angeles Lakers. Reddick didn’t feel he could juggle the two, I guess?
Alongside co-host Tommy Alter, the Pacers star took over the pod, rebranding it as The Young Man and the Three. It gave Haliburton something to do in his season on the sidelines — after tearing his Achilles during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.
Marc Stein announced the guest appearance on X. He noted that this will be LeBron’s “first scheduled appearance”, with more events planned over the weekend.
Fanatics Fest has trading card stalls, memorabilia shops, live podcasts, and interactive fan experiences running all weekend, and will also host the World Cup final press conference.
James and Haliburton start at 1:15 pm on Thursday at the Javits Center.
