Alan Smith raved about Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on Sky Sports Premier League (2:22pm, February 28, 2021).
The former Arsenal star, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has been impressed by the transformation of Ndombele and hailed his fitness.
The Englishman made the comments about the Tottenham midfielder while doing the co-commentary of the Premier League game between the North London club and Burnley on Sunday.
Smith said about Ndombele in the 22nd minute of the game on Sky Sports Premier League (2:22pm, February 28, 2021): “The transformation has been spectacular really. He is one of the first names on the teamsheet now.
“He has played in that deeper position, he has played in the number 10 role further forward, his fitness has come on leaps and bounds.”

Ndombele struggled in his debut season at Tottenham in 2019-20, and he recently admitted to The Guardian that he wants to leave.
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho publicly criticised him, but the 24-year-old has transformed into a key player for the North London club now.
The midfielder has been deployed in attacking midfield and in a deeper role, and the France international has been superb in both the positions.
According to WhoScored, Ndombele has made 21 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
