The Arsenal defender was unhappy with his side’s performance on Saturday.

The Gunners suffered another confidence-sapping defeat against one of the Premier League’s big boys, with their 3-1 loss at Chelsea on Saturday, and Laurent Koscielny appeared to question Arsene Wenger’s team selection following the match, when speaking to the Mirror.

Arsenal now sit in fourth position in the table, a distant 12 points behind the league leaders, and questions have been asked regarding Wenger’s ability to guide his team to Premier League glory.

And Koscielny, 31, discussed his side’s loss to Chelsea, when speaking to the Mirror, and highlighted how some players who made the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge maybe should not have been on the pitch in the first place:

“I think we played some players in front of others and I think we should have played more as a team and there was space to do so. They hit us on the counter.”

Arsenal were so disorganised, that is could be argued their performance would have been equally as poor, whoever the personnel.

The north London outfit will have to now bounce back immediately, and string together a sustained run of victories, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of overhauling Antonio Conte’s men at the top of the table.
