Kyle Duncan has told K.V. Oostende’s official website that he wants to play for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Duncan has said that it is his dream to play for Liverpool, and has said that he will continue to work hard to achieve his goal.

The 24-year-old USA international right-back, who is George Weah’s nephew, agreed a deal with Belgian club K.V. Oostende in November 2021 to join on a free transfer after leaving the New York Red Bulls.

Duncan told K.V. Oostende’s official website: “I would just love to inspire people. There are many young football players like me in America, and I want to show them that you can really make your dreams come true.

“If you believe in yourself and you work very hard, you can go far. There are still some players from the US in Germany and even here in Belgium, but my dream competition is the Premier League.

“Liverpool are my favourite team, they really play the type of game I dream of. Yes, it’s my dream to play there someday.

“Whether that will ever happen, I don’t know, but I will continue to work hard to keep taking steps.”

Could Kyle Duncan achieve his Liverpool dream?

In our view, Duncan could achieve his dream of playing for Liverpool in the coming years.

After all, the American is only 24 years of age.

Duncan has only just moved to Europe, and clearly the right-back will have to impress in the Belgian league to attract the attention of Liverpool.

We can’t but help admire Duncan’s determination and public acknowledgement of his love for Liverpool.

And that too on his current club’s official website.

Now, we know that Liverpool have one of the best right-backs in the world in Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It is very unlikely that Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool anytime soon or ever, but Liverpool as a team will always want players, and Duncan could get his chance in the coming years if he does well.
