KSI says he has ‘no regrets’ about how his boxing career played out – and even thinks it might have dragged on a bit too long.

He was the one who got YouTube boxing started with a knockout win over Joe Weller. He later drew with Logan Paul, then beat him in the rematch, which set up talks of a possible fight with Jake Paul down the line.

But despite returning for a five-fight stint in 2022 and 2023 after launching Misfits Boxing, that showdown never happened.

Instead, KSI wrapped things up with a loss to Tommy Fury. His previous win over Joe Fournier had been overturned to a no contest, leaving him without a victory in his final two outings.

Speaking to Zoom TV, KSI confirmed that he is officially quitting boxing two-and-a-half years after his loss to Tommy Fury. While he was set for two return fights during that span – including one against Dillon Danis – he ended up pulling out of both, citing illness and a hand injury.

It is believed he still needs surgery on the hand, which has been bothering him for quite some time now. And in that same interview with Zoom TV, KSI admitted that part of him wishes he had gone back to making content and music a bit sooner.

“I feel like I did too much in terms of boxing. I never regret anything unless it was something really negative, I regret those [times]. But with boxing, mentally it helped me a lot to be able to wake up every single day, even though it was so hard.

“I’m getting punched in the face and taking Ls in sparring, waking up and being like ‘my back hurts, my leg hurts, my hands hurt and I’m getting ill. All of this and I’m still having to wake up every day to train over and over and push my body to the limit over and over again for weeks.

“It takes a lot out of you for sure, and to be able to go through that mentally it changes you. Physically you look better as well but mentally it changes you. It was a cool experience to do that over and over and over again for many fights; was definitely good.

“So I don’t regret it, but I definitely overstayed my welcome and I kind of wish I did what I was really, really good at which is making content,” the 32-year-old said.

KSI reveals why he passed up $30million Jake Paul fight

Even though KSI said his main reason for returning to boxing in 2022 was to set up a fight with Paul, he claims to have turned down a $30 million offer for the bout. He spoke about it again in a recent interview.

“These guys can’t give me any amount of money to fight this guy,” he began by saying.

“When it comes to boxing, I’m done. I tried. My main goal when I got into the boxing ring again was to fight Jake Paul and build Misfits. I built Misfits, tried to fight Jake Paul time and time and time again, just excuse after excuse after excuse.”
