Dana White is hoping to get Zuffa Boxing off the ground after years of speculation about his plans to move into boxing.

After co-promoting Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather, White spent years teasing a move into boxing, and early in 2025, he finally announced his own promotion.

He then teamed up with Turki Alalshikh for their first event in September, which was headlined by Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez.

The following month, Zuffa Boxing signed an exclusive broadcast deal with Paramount – aligning with the UFC’s existing relationship with the network.

Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to find out who will be added to the roster.

The businessman recently revealed the main event for Zuffa Boxing’s first proper show, slated for January 23 at the UFC Apex.

White took some heat after announcing that Callum Walsh would face Carlos Ocampo, with fans hoping for a bigger name to headline the debut event.

Now, not long after that announcement, reports have emerged suggesting White has signed former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin to Zuffa Boxing.

Martin claimed the IBF heavyweight title in 2016 with a win over Vyacheslav Glazkov in a bout for the vacant belt.

However, his reign did not last long. Just months later, he was stopped by Anthony Joshua in a one-sided fight.

‘Prince’ Charles last appeared in the ring in November 2024, earning a win over Matthew McKinney, who holds a record of 23-10-2.

The 39-year-old is expected to face Efe Ajagba at Zuffa Boxing’s second event, set for February 14th.

Ajagba is coming off a draw against Martin Bakole. He is also well-regarded in the division and recently fought Joseph Parker for the WBO interim heavyweight title.
