Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Burnley manager Sean Dyche on Nick Pope.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham are interested in signing Pope from Premier League rivals Burnley in the summer of 2021, as covered by HITC Sport.

It has been reported that Tottenham want the 28-year-old as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris.

Dyche has been asked about the speculation, and he has given a rather amusing response.

The Burnley manager said, as quoted in Football.London: “How do you know every offer would have to be massive? If they offered a bag of crisps, a pint of lager, in a pub, at the moment with the way things are going, I might be swayed. I might actually take it!”

Some Tottenham fans have responded to Dyche’s amusing remarks on Twitter, a shown below:

Nick Pope to Tottenham Hotspur this summer?

Lloris is in his 30s now, and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy needs to seriously think about finding a suitable replacement.

Pope is 28 years of age at the moment and is at the top of his game, and at the right price, he would be a very good signing for Spurs, not just for now, but in the long term as well.

Spurs are challenging for the Premier League top four and are also aiming to win the Europa League this season.
