Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Nick Pope from Burnley, the Daily Mail suggest.
Tottenham have decided that Pope will be their first choice to replace Hugo Lloris, if he does depart.
The thought of Lloris leaving Tottenham has gained momentum in recent times, as his performances have dipped.
The French stopper was hugely reliable in Jose Mourinho’s first year at the club, but he has badly struggled for form of latem and PSG are admirers, with Mauricio Pochettino in charge.
There is now a feeling that Tottenham could be in the market for a goalkeeper in the summer, and Pope is firmly on their radar.
The England international, who Gareth Southgate described as ‘incredible’ (FA official website), is said to be valued at £30 million by Burnley, which would put him in Spurs’s price-range.
Pope could be a smart addition to Spurs’s team, as he has proven to be one of the most reliable stoppers in the Premier League over a number of years.

Pope is an excellent shot stopper and is also far more pro-active at coming for crosses than Lloris.
The 28-year-old has earned numerous admirers with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp even describing him as ‘sensational’ to TalkSPORT last year.
Pope may not produce as many spectacular reaction saves as Lloris, but he is unquestionably less error prone, and that could well appeal to Tottenham, given their captain’s displays of late.
