Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a huge admirer of AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer with the Algerian still yet to sort out his future – Liverpool may find they could tempt Milan into the sale of Bennacer, thanks to Naby Keita.
Bennacer, 24, left Arsenal in 2017 to join Empoli and has since become one of the best holding midfielders in Serie A football. In his four years at Milan, he has clocked up 126 appearances and helped the Rossoneri win the League title.
TMW report on Wednesday that Klopp is a ‘great admirer’. His contract ends in 2024, and Milan are keen to tie him down to a new deal. Bennacer wants more than the £50,000-a-week after-tax deal Milan are offering at the moment.
So, there is an impasse in talks – with Bennacer wanting £67,000 a week. He could be the bit of bite, and youthfulness Liverpool need at the base of their midfield, with Fabinho out of form right now. Keita could help the Reds get him.

Liverpool could tempt Milan into Bennacer sale thanks to Keita in swap
Keita is out of contract next summer. The midfielder has endured a difficult time at Liverpool. Injury this season, has prevented him from showing why he deserves a new deal. The chances are, that he will be sold by the Reds in January.
A previous report from CalcioMercato claim that Liverpool have transfer-listed Keita. As well as Nat Phillips and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, ahead of January. Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain are both set to see their deals expire in June
A new claim from CM says that Milan want to sign Keita. So, perhaps, including the ex-Leipzig midfielder in a deal for Bennacer in January could tempt the Champions League side into allowing Bennacer to move to Anfield come January.
