Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp personally wants Arsenal and Newcastle United target Marco Asensio at at Anfield, according to Sport (print edition, page 18, July 8, 2022).

The report has claimed that Liverpool manager Klopp wants to add the Madrid winger to his project at Anfield.
AC Milan are interested in the 26-year-old, but Madrid prefer to sell Asensio to a Premier League club so that they can get a better transfer fee.
Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been linked with Asensio.
Mundo Deportivo reported last month that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has told his bosses at the Gunners to sign the 26-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder and was described by Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti as “a player with extraordinary quality” in AS in April 2022.
Earlier this week, AS reported that Newcastle are interested in the winger and want him to be the face of their grand project.
Exit inevitable?
In our opinion, it does look like that Marco Asensio will leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, with Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool interested in him.
The winger has become a squad player at Madrid now, and the La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are likely to sell him for a good transfer fee.
