Earlier this summer, Christian Pulisic joining Liverpool from Chelsea was touted as a possibility.
The USA international has been linked with a transfer to Anfield from Stamford Bridge before.
But with Liverpool and Chelsea being fierce rivals in the Premier League, it never seemed entirely realistic.
Even as recently as June, the Reds were touted as a potential destination for the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
And with a few weeks left in the transfer window, a shock late move by Liverpool shouldn’t be ruled out.

Christian Pulisic joining Liverpool?
Well, it makes sense.
On Tuesday, journalist Dean Jones revealed to Give Me Sport that the Chelsea winger is growing frustrated with life in West London under Thomas Tuchel and could look to quit before September.
And it just so happens that Liverpool probably need an additional winger.
That’s because Jurgen Klopp has lost Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamino this summer and failed to sign a replacement for both.
When it comes to wide options, the Merseysiders are actually weaker than they were last season and that cannot possibly be a good thing.
We already know that Klopp is a major admirer of Pulisic and a man-manager of the German’s credentials, well let’s just say that the Chelsea attacker probably wouldn’t turn his nose up if Liverpool were to genuinely get involved.
The Londoners might still be reluctant to strengthen a rival but if they’re relying on Pulisic money to strengthen their own squad, well perhaps it isn’t unthinkable.
