Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall chipped in with a superb goal as Everton beat Burnley 2-0 on Tuesday night.

David Moyes had plenty of positive things to say about Dewsbury-Hall’s performance, and the midfielder was named Man of the Match by broadcasters.

The Everton midfielder has now taken his total goal involvements to 11 for the season, which may put him into contention for an England call-up later this month.

After the match, Dewsbury-Hall spoke directly to Thomas Tuchel.

“Getting into the England squad is a dream of mine,” said the 27-year-old. “I know the competition is stacked, but I am having a really good season – it is probably the best season I have ever had in the Premier League.”

Dewsbury-Hall then turned attention back to his club goals, adding: “My main focus is getting into Europe with this team. If we do that, it gives me a better chance internationally.”

Dewsbury-Hall, who was named Man of the Match by broadcasters, spoke about the win and his hopes for the club to qualify for Europe.

“I thought tonight we were really good – more like what we want to be at home: dominant and limiting our opponents to not many chances,” the Toffees star explained.

“It is a great reaction in the last four or five days to get back-to-back wins after two losses. It shows great character from the lads and puts us in a great position ahead of the run-in.

“Look at the stadium, it is built for European nights. It is a massive club and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to come: to get the club back into the European places.

Everton are just one point behind Brentford with nine games left in their season.

James Tarkowski made sure Brentford know Everton are coming for their spot with an indirect message after Tuesday’s match, while Dwight McNeil’s wonder goal was another bright spot on what was an incredible night at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
