Kieran Trippier’s first interaction with Anthony Gordon at Newcastle United will be an entertaining one.
Gordon has just quit Everton to join the Magpies in a £45 million transfer.
Newcastle beat the Toffees 1-0 at St James’s Park earlier in the season.
And ironically, Trippier and Gordon found themselves embroiled in a heated confrontation with one another, which resulted in Fabian Schar pushing the 21-year-old Evertonian away.

Callum Wilson has already welcomed him to Newcastle on Instagram as well, as covered by HITC Sport.
And no doubt that what happened between Trippier and Gordon in the past is just that, the past.
Eddie Howe has assembled a nice group of lads on Tyneside and Trippier and the former Everton winger will no doubt get on like a house on fire.
There’s a decent bit of pressure on Gordon, though.
At £45 million, this makes him Newcastle’s second-most expensive signing of all time and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares in the North East.
