Philippe Coutinho left Liverpool for Barcelona in January 2018.

Liverpool’s reported interest
According to CalcioMercato, Liverpool are interested in signing Coutinho from Barcelona this summer and have made a two-year loan offer, with an option to buy for £88 million (click here to read more).
The 27-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, was on the books of the Reds from January 2013 until January 2018 when he moved to Barcelona for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £105m.
Coutinho has struggled to make a huge impact at Barcelona, but given his quality and having played for the Reds, one can understand why Liverpool are reportedly interested in securing his services.
The former Inter Milan attacking midfielder’s agent, Joorabchian, though, has suggested that he cannot see the 27-year-old slot into the present Liverpool team despite having been a success at Anfield earlier.

No space for Philippe Coutinho
Joorabchian told talkSPORT: “The thing is, Liverpool have built a tremendous squad, the manager has a great balance there and it’s probably one of the run football clubs in the country.
“So with the build-up they’ve done and the squad they have, it [signing Coutinho] would really have to be something they would have to decide whether or not they feel there is now a current gap in the squad for someone life Philippe.
“I think it’s going to be a very difficult deal, but most of the big ones are always very, very difficult. Obviously if he were to move back [to the Premier League], it would have to be Liverpool, but at the moment I think it would be difficult and it would be up to them.”
