HITC understands that Kevin De Bruyne will wait 12 months before making a final decision on his future at Manchester City.

Since moving to the Etihad Stadium back in the summer of 2015, Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has become one of the best players in the Premier League’s modern era.

There has been interest in De Bruyne this summer with HITC reporting that American side San Diego were keen on the Belgian midfielder from Manchester City.

As well as interest from the United States, perhaps there is little surprise that the Saudi Pro League are also keen on the former Chelsea attacking midfielder.

De Bruyne’s stance on leaving Manchester City this summer

Sources have told HITC that De Bruyne intends to see out the final year of his contract at City before deciding his future.

The Belgian superstar has just one-year left on his current deal and is gearing up to what looks like being the final season of his career in Europe.

De Bruyne made just 18 appearances for City during the previous Premier League campaign due to the injury he suffered during the first game of the previous season against Burnley.

Nevertheless, De Bruyne still contributed 10 assists and four goals as City won the Premier League title.

Guardiola was interviewed by Sky Sports and was asked about De Bruyne’s future, the Spaniard said: “Kevin is not going.”

HITC is told by sources that City are looking to keep their key performers this season in what could also be Pep Guardiola’s final season at the club – but they also hope he can be persuaded to extend.

De Bruyne’s transfer options and Ederson’s big Saudi offer

The Saudi Pro League are understood to have made enquiries and made it known to his people that a contract is waiting for him in the Middle East if he wants it.

As mentioned, there is also the option to relocate to California in 2025 with a move to the newly formed MLS franchise San Diego.

De Bruyne isn’t the only player who City are battling to keep this summer with Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson still attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League with the former Benfica ace understood to have a huge offer from the Middle East.

Julian Alvarez is another name who could be leaving City this summer with sources confirming that the Argentine has informed the club he wants to move on this summer.

However, HITC reported that City have no intention to allow Alvarez to leave the club this summer.
