Kevin Campbell has said on Racing Post that Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will not sell the Gunners.
The former Arsenal star has said that Kroenke is a businessman and will not sell even if Daniel Ek makes an offer.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Spotify owner wants to buy Arsenal from American businessman Kroenke.
The Swedish billionaire will make a bid of £1.8 billion for the Premier League club and is confident that Kroenke will listen.
Some Arsenal fans want Ek to take over the Gunners and are not happy with how Kroenke has run the club.
There were even protests from some Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium recently.
Campbell said on Racing Post: “For me, it all sounds nice, it looks nice for the fans and everything at this time which has been difficult, but Kroenke is going nowhere, he is going nowhere. His business is sports clubs and franchises. That’s what he does.”
To sell or not to sell?
Arsenal may not be challenging for major trophies or qualifying for the Champions League season after season, but the Gunners remain a massive club and a global brand.
The Gunners are still a lucrative club, and Kroenke could make a lot of money from them in the coming years.
From a business perspective, it would make sense for the American billionaire not to sell Arsenal, as, if and when results improve on the pitch, revenue will get higher.
However, with Arsenal fans not happy and clearly against the current ownership, Kroenke should at least consider selling the club if Ek makes a big offer.
It would make sense for all parties concerned if the American businessman sells the Gunners for a big price.
