Rangers won the title at an absolute canter and will now be looking to strengthen in the summer transfer window.
With the Champions League on the horizon, Rangers will be keen to add new faces – and Kenny Dalglish has offered some advice.
The Liverpool legend has told Sky Sports that he thinks Rangers need to sign more Scottish players, believing that it ‘might improve their performances’.
Rangers just went the whole league season unbeaten so it’s unclear what more he is looking for, but Dalglish feels that Rangers aren’t helping Scottish football right now.
“Steven Gerrard could do with signing another couple of Scottish players to get them in the Rangers team – that might improve their performances as well,” said Dalglish.
“Steven’s got a few English and foreign players in there which doesn’t help us and they’re the best team in Scotland by far at the moment,” he added.
Rangers did sign a Scottish player in January as winger Scott Wright arrived from Aberdeen, and he’s shown potential.

The Gers also have some Scottish youngsters coming through in the likes of Leon King and Nathan Patterson, with the latter now in Scotland’s Euro 2020 squad thanks to his development under Gerrard.
How many realistic Scottish signings would get in the Rangers team right now? Lewis Ferguson is a realistic signing, but may not play every week for the Gers amid claims from The Scottish Sun that they’re keen.
Signing Ryan Gauld would be exciting, but there just aren’t that many realistic signings Rangers can make to bolster Scotland and themselves; instead, they will focus on being the best Scottish side and providing players for the national team where possible, such as Patterson.
