Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Arsenal are working on a mystery signing behind the scenes at the Emirates.
Arsenal have been very good at keeping their transfer business under wraps this summer. A deal for Fabio Vieira was completed without any speculation beforehand, and it looks like another signing of that ilk could be on the way.
Indeed, Romano says that he’s had an indication that Arsenal are working on a move for a new winger, but he states that the Gunners are managing to keeping this one quiet.

Romano spoke about Arsenal’s pursuit of a new winger.
“A winger, they wanted Raphinha, but now that is not the case as we mentioned, it’s Chelsea and Barcelona,” Romano said.
“So, for Arsenal we will see if they go for another winger. We had rumours about Gnabry, but I’m told he’s not on Arsenal’s list. I will try to let you know who the player is. I have an indication but I can’t speak yet because I have to check and make sure it’s the right name. I am working on it, they’re very good at keeping it quiet this summer.”
Exciting
The fact that Arsenal can make these signings from seemingly out of nowhere makes the Gunners that much more exciting to follow this summer.
Vieira wasn’t even linked to Arsenal before we were told it was a done deal, and it looks like we could get another bolt from the blue arrival in the near future.
Who this mystery player is remains to be seen, but Arsenal fans seemingly don’t need to worry about inactivity behind the scenes.
