Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist, Lyall Thomas, has been discussing Arsenal’s interest in Gabriel Jesus, and the player’s next move.
The Brazilian has plenty of interest from within the Premier League for his signature. Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham have all been linked with the striker, but according to Thomas, the Manchester City man is keen to move to Arsenal.
According to the reporter, Jesus is keen on the Emirates due to the fact he wants to, once again, work alongside Mikel Arteta after their time together at Manchester City.
What’s been said?
Thomas shared what he knows about Jesus and his desire to play for Arsenal.
“As far as I understand it he’s quite keen to work with Mikel Arteta again. Obviously he worked with him at City when Arteta was Pep Guardiola’s number two. They have a good relationship as I understand it, so I think he’d be quite keen to go there,” Thomas said.

Arteta’s pull
Mikel Arteta may be an inexperienced manager, but he seems to be able to attract players in the same way a proven top coach can.
So often you hear about players who want to work under the likes of Antonio Conte, Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola, and while Arteta isn’t on the same level as those three, the Spaniard seems to have his own unique pull, especially with Manchester City players.
Jesus does have more appealing options on the table – with all due respect to Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs can offer him Champions League football, but due to his relationship with Arteta, it seems as though a move to the Emirates could be on the cards.
