Keegan Bradley’s backroom team for the 2025 Ryder Cup face more attention than most, and a lot of that come from the growing chance that Bradley might actually be playing at Bethpage in September.
Over the past week, the odds of Keegan Bradley becoming the first playing captain since Arnold Palmer in 1962 have gone up. His win at the Travelers Championship has put him inside the top 10 in the US qualification standings
Since earning the Ryder Cup captaincy, the American golfer has known he could still play in the tournament thanks to his ranking. Now, with his chances improving, paying close attention to the support team around him is more important than ever.
Jim Furyk and Brandt Snedeker bring a lot of experience – both have led US teams in the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup, and Snedeker is already set to captain next year’s Presidents Cup squad. Webb Simpson also looks destined for future captaincy, which gives Bradley a strong group behind him. But one more important name is expected to join his team.
Keegan Bradley says he is about to announce his final vice-captain

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Bradley was asked about his four vice-captains, and then hinted that a fifth is about to be revealed.
“My vice captains right now are Jim Furyk, Brandt Snedeker, Webb Simpson and Kevin Kisner. There is one more there that we have not announced yet that I have been sworn to secrecy, but he will be announced really soon,” Bradley said.
“I have got to tell you. This whole process and having these vice captains has been so incredible. I am so proud to have them and when I am around them, I feel really grateful that they are on my side and every decision that I have made for vice captain I have been happy with, but after I have them on board, and we have some chats, I am so grateful. I could not do this without these guys.”
Keegan Bradley has been speaking with Tiger Woods
Even though he passed on the job, Woods hasn’t been far from the picture when it comes to team preparations for Bethpage.
“Yes. Talking with Tiger, there have been a few people during this process who have been extremely helpful and supportive and constantly checking in, and Tiger has been one of them,” the 39-year-old explained.
The comments suggest he’s leaning heavily on his backroom team – and when your picks include the likes of Furyk, Snedeker and Simpson, that’s not a bad thing at all.
