Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Antonio Conte leaving Inter Milan.

It hasn’t been long since Conte helped Inter to their first Serie A title in 11 years, but he’s already out of the exit door after the club wanted to ‘sell players’ rather than fund their title-winning coach to ‘win again’, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham supporters have taken a keen interest in yesterday’s news given that reports in Italy suggest that they have approached him for their vacant role.

Those in North London think now is their chance to pounce for the highly-demanding Italian, who won the Premier League title in his first season in English football.

Unless Conte fancies a break, there are several jobs across Europe available now and it will be interesting to see if Spurs push that little harder over the coming days.

There’s no better opportunity for Spurs to try and lure his tactical brain their way because other parties, such as Real Madrid with Zidane set to leave, will also be thinking the same.

In truth, Daniel Levy should have had someone appointed by now, or at the very least lined up because the man he sacked – Jose Mourinho – has already landed a new role before he could replace the outspoken coach in North London.

Either way, this is one of the biggest summers in recent times for Spurs and the biggest for Levy since he took charge as chairman in 2001.
