Juventus are reportedly interested in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Jesper Lindstrom, but Newcastle United could pose a problem for the Italian club.
According to a report in Corriere della Sera, the Italian giants are anxious that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United could enter the race for the Danish forward’s signature, with the star valued at £30 million.
With Juventus still trying to negotiate a deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, Lindstrom could provide a decent alternative for the Italian side.
However, there is a worry that Newcastle, who are set to lose Allan Saint-Maximin to Saudi Arabia, according to Fabrizio Romano, could be looking for a replacement forward despite the signing of Harvey Barnes from Leicester City.
Dusan Vlahovic could make a move to PSG if they lose Kylian Mbappe or to Tottenham Hotspur, who could be about to lose Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, both scenarios seem likely as things stand.
Newcastle United linked with Jesper Lindstrom
The same report also states that Lindstrom has agreed to a move to Turin, but a deal would only take place ‘Newcastle permitting’.
The Premier League club would be able to offer Champions League football, something that Juventus would not be able to do.

Newcastle would also have the funds to be able to complete the signing of the Danish forward should they choose to.
Juventus, on the other hand, may struggle in this aspect due to the financial constraints that Massimiliano Allegri’s side are currently working with.
Italian outlet Sport Mediaset also corroborates the report in Corriere della Sera, adds that Napoli are also interested.
But, Newcastle ‘above all’ are interested in the forward.
Lindstrom scored seven times and added two assists for Frankfurt in the Bundesliga last season and could represent a unique option for Juventus who are, for now, seemingly focused on the signing of Romelu Lukaku.
