Juventus have reportedly eyed AS Roma youngster Nicolo Zaniolo as an option to replace Paulo Dybala, with Tottenham also hot on the heels for the Italian talent.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 22-year-old is top of Massimiliano Allegri’s list to succeed the Argentine international, with Dybala set to leave Juventus this summer as a free agent after failing to sign a new contract with the Serie A giants.

As per the report, Zaniolo has become a priority for Juventus now, yet the Bianconeri face competition for the playmaker in the form of Tottenham, who have been linked with the Roma star for some time.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Fabio Paratici is a huge fan of the Italian and is keen to bring Zaniolo to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, with Gazzetta dello Sport previously reporting that Roma will be open to selling the youngster for €50m (£42m).

With Juventus now ramping up their interest in Zaniolo, this transfer saga could prove to be one of the most exciting this summer given Tottenham’s admiration for the Roman superstar and how well he suits both clubs.

Indeed, the allure of playing Antonio Conte will be a tempting one for Zaniolo, yet the stature of Juventus and their place in Italian football is also something that might captivate the youngster in moving to Turin this summer.
