Juventus stopper Wojciech Szczesny – a former Arsenal man himself – could end up returning to North London.
The Pole is now 34 and may be willing to take on a supporting role alongside Raya at this stage in his career.

Szczesny has never hidden his love for Arsenal and a return may well appeal – even if it’s only as backup to Raya.

Tommy Setford has signed from Ajax whilst Lucas Nygaard has been snapped up from FC Nordsjælland.
Arsenal have brought in two young stoppers this summer and may feel that a veteran goalkeeper like Szczesny can be the perfect role model.
Juventus are clearly open to a deal but Arsenal would certainly need Ramsdale to move on before any deal for Szczesny – and that doesn’t appear to be absolutely imminent.
