Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the news that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will not play in the Europa Conference League this season.
Tottenham out of Conference League
As reported by BBC Sport, Tottenham will no longer play in the Europa Conference League.
UEFA have ruled that Spurs forfeited their final match against Rennes earlier this month.
Tottenham were due to play against Rennes in the competition on December 9.
However, the match had to be called off due to a covid outbreak at Spurs.
The match could not be rescheduled, and UEFA’s disciplinary body have awarded Rennes a 3-0 win.
This means that Rennes have finished top of the group, Vitesse runners-up and Tottenham third.

Former Tottenham star and pundit Roberts has given his reaction to the news, and he seems happy at the decision.
Roberts has taken a swipe at UEFA as well, pointing out how they could not conduct the UEFA Champions League last-16 draw properly last week.
Good news for Tottenham Hotspur
In our opinion, not playing in the Europa Conference League is a boon for Tottenham.
This particular European competition is not very prestigious, and Spurs can now concentre on the Premier League.
Conte has started to make an impact at Tottenham, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful will certainly be optimistic about a proper challenge for the Premier League top four.
