Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his website that reported Tottenham Hotspur target Andreas Christensen is about to sign a new contract with Chelsea, which will be a blow for Spurs.

The Daily Star reported over the weekend that Spurs are interested in signing Chelsea central defender Christensen in the summer of 2022.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season, and Tottenham want to secure the services of the Denmark international on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
However, according to well-known and well-respected journalist Di Marzio, Christensen is close to putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract, with a potential option for a fifth.
The journalist has reported on his website that “there are just details to be worked out”.
Blow for Spurs
This latest report on the future of Christensen will be a blow for Spurs.
The Denmark international is a very capable defender who can only get better in the coming years.
And, let’s not forget that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte worked with Christensen at Chelsea.
Oh, Christensen will become a free agent at the end of the season.
So, in our view, Christensen would be a good signing for Spurs.
But it seems that the defender will not join Tottenham and stay at Chelsea.
