Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Chelsea central defender Andreas Christensen with a move to Spurs.

Tottenham interest in Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen

The Daily Star have reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Christensen.

The 25-year-old central defender is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season and will become a free agent then.

Defending European champions Chelsea want to keep Christensen at Stamford Bridge and are keen on agreeing on a new deal.

Spurs fans react

As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans would love to see head coach Antonio Conte sign Christensen.

Well, some of them anyway.

However, they do not think that the Denmark international, who earns £83,000 per week (Salary Sport), would move to Spurs.

Christensen has been on the books of Chelsea since 2012 and worked with Conte when the Italian tactician was in charge of the Blues.

In our opinion, Christensen would be a very good signing for Tottenham, especially on a free transfer.

Christensen is a capable centre-back who is still only 25.

So, in our view, Spurs would be signing a quality defender who can be a long-term success as well as make an impact in the short term.
