Arsenal came away from Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend with a 0-0 draw.
The result brought the end of the Gunners winning streak. The north London side have won their last four games in all competitions. The run lifted Arsenal off the bottom of the Premier League table.
Indeed, the run of results was exactly what Arsenal needed, though the draw to Brighton could be seen by some as another poor result from Arteta’s side, even despite the Seagulls impressive start to the season.
Yet the 0-0 draw at the Amex Stadium signified another record broken by Arteta. As per OptaJoe on Twitter, Arsenal have now scored the fewest goals at this stage of the season for the first time since 1986 in their history.
With Arsenal bolstering some great attacking talent such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe, the stat comes as a surprise. Yet creating chances has been an issue since Arteta’s arrival as manager.
Even with Martin Odegaard arriving from Real Madrid and Emile Smith Rowe impressing at senior level, chances are just becoming hard for the Gunners to create.
Arsenal fans are not pleased with latest Arteta record after Brighton draw

And their match against Brighton was no exception, with Arsenal again struggling to find the right pass to break the Seagulls backline. As you would expect, fans on social media were fuming about the record.
Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter about Arteta breaking a 35-year club stat…
