Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on ITV (4:30pm, July 30, 2022) for their win against Sevilla and has also hailed Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

Klopp was impressed by how Arsenal eased past Spanish club Sevilla in a pre-season friendly match at the Emirates Stadium in North London today.

The Liverpool boss has also said that Tottenham will be a threat to them and to Manchester City next season.

The Gunners hammered Sevilla 6-0 at home today.

Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick.

Jurgen Klopp on Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur

Klopp said on ITV (4:30pm, July 30, 2022) when discussing how far ahead Liverpool and Manchester City are of the rest of the teams in the Premier League: “Arsenal, I only saw the result, pretty impassive today. 6-0 against Sevilla. I don’t think that has ever happened to Sevilla, to be honest.

“Chelsea will come, Tottenham have improved a lot, so it is going to be a tough, tough season for all of us.”

Big compliment

In our view, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praising Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in public and that too so highly shows how good the Gunners and Spurs are.

Klopp is clearly aware of the threat that Arsenal and Tottenham pose to Liverpool and to Manchester City this season.

Now, of course, Liverpool and City are arguably the two strongest teams in the Premier League at the moment, but Arsenal and Spurs have been quite active in the summer transfer window and could close the gap on the Reds and the Citizens this season.

We will have a fascinating Premier League season ahead.
