Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that goalkeeper Adrian is now injured.

Klopp gave the injury update on Adrian ahead of the Premier League game between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The Liverpool boss has said that Marcelo is now the third-choice goalkeeper at the Reds.

Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher are the first-choice and second-choice goalkeepers at Liverpool respectively.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website: “Adrian is injured in the moment, so Marcelo is now No.3. He’s a very young boy, but that’s all fine.”

Adrian injury not a blow for Liverpool

It seems that Adrian suffered his injury recently.

The Liverpool Echo reported only on Wednesday morning that the Spaniard was fit and available for the Merseyside derby against Everton.

So, it would appear that the 34-year-old goalkeepers, who earns £63,000 per week (Salary Sport), has been injured for a few days.

In our opinion, Adrian’s injury is not a blow for Liverpool.

Alisson is fit and is playing regularly.

And Kelleher is now the Brazil international goalkeeper’s back-up.

Adrian does not even get into the Liverpool matchday squads at the moment.

The former West Ham United goalkeeper is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer of 2022.

We do not think that Liverpool will extend the 34-year-old’s current deal.
