Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will win against Rafael Benitez’s Everton.

Everton will take on Arsenal at Goodison Park in the Premier League next Monday evening.

Former Arsenal star Merson believes that the Gunners will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 win.

The Sky Sports pundit has added that he thinks that Everton manager Benitez could lose his job at Everton if he fails to win against the Gunners.

Everton v Arsenal prediction

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “At the start of the Premier League season, the teams that we all thought would finish in the top four were Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, in no particular order.

“Arsenal have lost to all these teams. The way Everton are playing at the moment, however, Arsenal will back themselves this weekend.

“I think Rafael Benitez has about 90 minutes left at Goodison Park. When I played in the Premier League, Everton was one of the hardest places to win a match.

“The place was three-quarters empty this week, and Everton fans are clearly not having any more of Benitez.

“Arsenal were unlucky the other day, and I thought they missed too many chances against United.

“They need to come back and win this game – they’ve been beating the teams they should be beating this season, and I think they’ll be able to turn the screws on Everton.”

Who will win at Goodison Park?

Everton are having a real torrid time, and manager Benitez is under pressure.

In our opinion, the Toffees will lose to Arsenal at Goodison Park.

Yes, the Gunners lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Thursday evening.

But, Arsenal’s performance against United was not as bad as that of Everton against Liverpool.

The Toffees went down 4-1 to Liverpool at Goodison Park in the Merseyside derby.

There is doom and gloom at Everton, and we believe that Merson’s prediction of an Arsenal win at Goodison Park will come true.
