Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has described Newcastle United fans as “passionate” on BBC Sport after the match at St. James’ Park at the weekend.
Klopp’s Liverpool got the better of Eddie Howe’s Newcastle 1-0 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this past Saturday.
Naby Keita scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute.
After the match, Liverpool manager Klopp praised the Newcastle fans and called the St. James’ Park faithful “passionate”.

Klopp said on BBC Sport: “Our people were outstanding and Newcastle are obviously a really passionate crowd. Winning here is special.”

In our opinion, Newcastle fans are among the best in England and give a lot to the team.
Newcastle are now safe from relegation to the Championship at the end of the season, and one of the big reasons behind it is the support the team gets in each and every home match.
St. James’ Park is one of the best stadiums in the Premier League, and it must be really intimidating for the opposition teams to play there.
Newcastle will be hoping to kick on and aim for the European places in the Premier League table this season.
