Sport are reporting today that Junior Firpo will undergo a medical at Leeds United before joining from Barcelona, snubbing West Ham United in the process.
What’s the story?
Spanish publication Sport are reporting that Junior is on the verge of joining Leeds from Barcelona.
The 24-year-old left-back will undergo a medical and the transfer could be made official in the next few hours.
West Ham were interested in the Spaniard and wanted to know the price, but the player himself wants to move to Leeds.
The left-back is travelling to England today and will sign a contract for the next four years.
Barcelona will be paid €15 million (£12.88 million) in transfer fee.
Good decision from Junior Firpo?
Leeds are a big club who did well in the Premier League last season, and head coach Marcelo Bielsa needs to sign a left-back.
Ezgjan Alioski is technically a free agent now.

Even if the North Macedonia signs a new deal, there is no argument that Leeds simply have to sign a left-back.
Alioski is a winger who has been playing as a left-back.
Junior did not have the best of times at Barcelona, but the Spaniard is only 24 and can get back to his best.
