According to Florian Plettenburg, West Ham have made a “big offer” for Arsenal target Filip Kostic.
What’s the story?
Well, the Sky Germany journalist believes the east Londoners have offered more than €15m (£13m) for the Serbia international, but they are yet to reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt.
However, Plettenburg believes Kostic is “open to leaving” the Europa League winners, who knocked West Ham out at the semi-final stage last season.
Arsenal are also interested in the 29-year-old, although the Gunners have not submitted an official bid.
According to the Guardian, Eintracht Frankfurt could accept a sum of £17m, as Kostic has already entered the final 12 months of his contract and is yet to agree fresh terms.
If that is true, then West Ham only need to offer £4m more to tempt the German side into a decision.

In our view, West Ham’s £13m bid isn’t exactly that big of an offer like Plettenburg states, although in context, it is fairly substantial given his age and contract situation.
Interest in Kostic comes after he made 42 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring seven goals while also impressively providing 15 assists.
West Ham could beat Arsenal to a special signing
In our view, Kostic has the ability to take West Ham up a gear.
The Serbian – who has been compared to Gareth Bale – is a phenomenal technician, who rarely disappoints when it comes to his end product.

Kostic remarkably provided 17 assists in just 30 Bundesliga appearances in the 2020/21 campaign, after recording 12 and 11 assists in the two seasons prior to that one.
The 29-year-old boats excellent vision, strong technical ability and stamina, while his fitness record is also something which Moyes will surely be attracted to – Kostic rarely misses any games if he can help it.
If West Ham get this deal over the line, the Serbian is going straight into our Fantasy Football side.
