According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Arsenal and West Ham are now ready to make moves for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Filip Kostic.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal and West Ham aren’t the only ones interested, as José Mourinho also hopes to bring the Serbian to Roma.
La Lazio Siamo Noi explain how Kostic is yet to sign a new contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, with his current deal expiring in June 2023.
That has alerted Arsenal and West Ham.
If the Bundesliga side cannot agree fresh terms with their No.10, then they will have to sell him this summer, or they risk losing him for nothing in 2023.
Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid, Fiorentina and Sevilla are also keen to sign the 29-year-old, who Eintracht Frankfurt paid €14m (£12m) for in August 2018.
So far this season, Kostic has scored four goals, while also providing 12 assists in 31 appearances.
Arsenal or West Ham could sign another Gareth Bale

Interestingly, Kostic has been compared to none other than Gareth Bale, by the Bundesliga’s official website.
They state that the pair are similar due to their defensive qualities, as well as their ability to make an impact in the final third.
The pair are also both left footed, and possess wonderful technical skills.

If Kostic is even 50% of the player Bale is, then Mikel Arteta and David Moyes need to get bidding.
Should contract talks fail to progress, there is a fantastic market opportunity here for the Premier League duo, one they cannot ignore.
Keep an eye on this saga – with so many European giants involved, it’s set to be an exciting transfer battle.
