Tottenham fans have been given a piece of news about Daniel Levy which will surely go down well in N17.

What’s the story?

Well – for a while now – Tottenham fans have called on Levy to take a backseat from footballing decisions.

The 61-year-old has overseen a strange period at Spurs in recent years, which has now resulted in the north Londoners looking for their fourth permanent manager since 2019.

Levy also hired – and refuses to fire – Director of Football Fabio Paratici, who is currently banned from football for the next 30 months.

However, the Essex-born businessman has now relinquished his significant involvement in footballing operations.

The Athletic‘s Charlie Eccleshare claims that the presence of Scott Munn – who has just been hired as Chief Football Officer from City Football Group China – will see Levy step back from the footballing side of things at Tottenham.

While Levy is still highly valuable when it comes to revenue and business operations at Spurs, the Tottenham fans will surely be delighted that he is handing the football side of things over to an experienced figure.

Daniel Levy has listened to Tottenham fans

Whatever you think about Levy, this is a clear sign that he realises his decisions have not been too popular amongst Tottenham fans in recent years.

Some chairmen let their ego take over and refuse to let others stick their nose in, although it is an encouraging sign for Tottenham fans to see Levy bring Munn into the fold.

The Australian boasts almost ten years of experience working for the City Football Group, an organisation which owns a conglomerate of clubs such as Manchester City, Girona, New York City, Palermo and Melbourne City.

Munn has played a huge role in transforming the fortunes of these sides, so he brings a strong amount of experience with him to N17.

Hopefully, he can put Tottenham back on track.
