Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist Ryan Taylor has been discussing Arsenal’s interest in Raphinha.
The Brazilian has been linked with a number of top clubs in recent weeks including Tottenham and Barcelona, but according to Goal, Arsenal have a genuine interest in the winger.
Taylor has backed up that claim, stating that Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Raphinha, but he claims that they’re not as focused on that deal as they are on moves for Youri Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus.
What’s been said?
Taylor spoke about Arsenal’s interest in Raphinha.
“Raphinha is a player that is of strong interest Arsenal, but the factor with that is that he plays in the same position as Bukayo Saka, who is of huge importance to Arteta,” Taylor said.
“Raphinha is definitely one they’re looking at, Leeds will want £50m for him, but Raphinha is one they are working on, but not as much as Tielemans or Gabriel Jesus.”

Could miss out
If Arsenal don’t move quickly on Raphinha they could very easily miss out on the Leeds United man.
This is a player that doesn’t have any shortage of suitors, and it may not be long before one of these elite clubs matches Leeds’ £50m asking price.
Tottenham are keen, Liverpool have long had an interest and Barcelona also want to sign the attacker, so if Arsenal don’t get a move on, they could miss the boat here.
Of course, as Taylor says, Raphinha plays in the same position as Bukayo Saka, so he may not be as big a priority as the likes of Tielemans or Jesus who would fill glaring holes in Mikel Arteta’s squad, but at the same time, Arsenal will likely kick themselves if they miss out on a player as talented as Raphinha.
