The Mail’s Dominic King has reported that Rangers sources have informed him Aaron Ramsey has settled in well at Ibrox, as if he has been at the Gers for a year. Ramsey made his debut for the Gers on Sunday, off the bench.

Ramsey, 31, came off the bench to play for the last 15 minutes as Rangers bounced back from their dismal Old Firm hammering by Celtic. The Gers smashed Hearts 5-0 at Ibrox, with Alfredo Morelos shining for Rangers.

The 71-time Wales international could feature against Annan in the Cup this week, as he continues to build his fitness. He was even spotted out for dinner with Leon Balogun and Kenny Miller, after the drubbing of Hearts.

King reports that sources have informed him that Ramsey has settled in well at Rangers, to the extent in which he has been at Rangers for a year – not a week. It is an exciting update for Rangers fans.

“He punched the air when Morelos plundered the second goal as if he’d scored it himself; those who work with him say that he has fitted into the dressing room as if he has been here a year,” King reported.

King on Ramsey: Rangers chances of permanent deal increasing?

Ramsey seems to have already grown affectionate of his new club. Now, while there is no permanent clause in his Rangers loan – Fabrizio Romano claims that the Gers will have first priority to sign him, if they can.

The issue will be, whether Rangers can arrange a financial package to Ramsey’s liking. The midfielder is on a ridiculously high, £400,000 a week at Juventus. But money is hardly likely to be his motivation.

Neither will it be how Rangers sign Ramsey. The only way that it is a possibility is if he falls in love with the Glasgow club between now and June – and with a week gone, it is certainly going in the right direction.
