Speaking on The Done Deal Show, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs has been discussing Christian Eriksen, and he’s claimed that Leeds United are in the race to sign the Danish midfielder.
The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the month and there has been plenty of interest from within the Premier League for the former Tottenham man.
Spurs, Manchester United and Brentford have all been linked, and now, Jacobs has claimed that Leeds United are in the race for his signature.
What’s been said?
Jacobs spoke about the race to sign Eriksen.
“So, Manchester United, have made a firm offer, Tottenham have not and it is unlikely that he will rejoin Tottenham. If there was an offer from Tottenham there would be the desire to return, but my understanding is that Tottenham will not make an offer for Eriksen,” Jacobs said.
“My understanding is that Eriksen would like to remain in London, so don’t rule out Brentford. Other clubs that are looking at him that are new since we last spoke; Leicester City who considered a January move, Leeds United and Newcastle, but Manchester United are the most advanced.”

Coup
Leeds United are part of a long list of teams that want Eriksen, and it would be a serious coup if they could win this race.
Think about it, the midfielder is wanted by Newcastle, the richest club in the world, Manchester United, the most successful club in Premier League history, and Leicester – one of the most ambitious teams of the last decade.
If Leeds can convince the ‘magician’ to pick a move to Elland Road ahead of any of these other destinations, Victor Orta will deserve a lot of credit.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
