According to the Telegraph’s Matt Law, Wolves could now sell Adama Traore for a cut-price sum amid interest from Liverpool and Leeds.

What’s the story?

Well, speaking on the London Is Blue podcast, Law claimed that Wolves have financial problems, which could force them into a corner.

Law said: “Wolves have got money problems, Wolves have got issues, and he’s not signed a new contract yet. I think you’re looking at sort of £20 million – £25 million, which is sensible money for a good squad player who can make an impact.”

Now, if true, that is a seriously low figure. In fact, it’s barely more than Wolves paid for the 6-cap Spain international.

Nuno Espírito Santo spent £18 million to sign the 25-year-old from Middlesbrough in 2018.

After all he’s done at Molineux, it would be a travesty if Wolves ended up selling their No.37 for just a few million more than they paid.

Liverpool and Leeds will surely be interested

If Law’s bold claim is true, Liverpool and Leeds will surely be interested.

Both Jürgen Klopp and Marcelo Bielsa’s sides have been credited with an interest in the ex-Barcelona forward.

Back in August, the Daily Mail even published a story revealing that Wolves rated Traore at £70 million.

That shows just how well the Spaniard was doing at Molineux.

Now, however, due to supposed financial issues at Wolves, Liverpool or Leeds could be about to land themselves a bargain.

In our view, Traore could explode at either Anfield or Elland Road.

Both Klopp and Bielsa play fast-paced, attacking football which opens up plenty of space for their forwards to roam into.

Traore – one of the quickest players in Europe – thrives with space to run into, so it could be a match made in heaven.
