Jordan Spieth’s long wait for a PGA Tour win doesn’t look like ending anytime soon.
Spieth’s last victory came way back in April 2022 and right now, he seems further away than ever from returning to the winners’ circle.
There is no doubt that the 32-year-old from Dallas, Texas, is working incredibly hard on his golf game at the moment, and he has been over the past few years.
However, Jordan Spieth has reached a point now where he is almost pursuing a fruitless endeavor.
There is real concern about Spieth’s game right now, and rightly so.

The three-time major champion is so far away from the levels he reached during his exceptional run from 2015 to 2017.
And the harder he works on fixing his problems, the worse everything becomes.
Jordan Spieth’s main issue has nothing to do with the golf swing
There are quite clearly glaring weaknesses in Spieth’s game right now.
His iron play, driving and short game have all been extremely underwhelming this season.
However, the real worry is that Spieth’s main problem which has plagued him all season long is so subtle that he may not even be aware of it himself.
The former world number one has not stopped telling everyone how close he is to returning to his best form this season.
The issue with that is that he is quite clearly not even close.
The sheer delusion that Spieth has right now is causing him unnecessary levels of stress.
If he was more accepting of the fact that he is struggling with all departments of his game now, he wouldn’t be so frustrated with his poor results.
The American getting back to his best is entirely dependent on him getting honest with himself.

If he admitted he is struggling and nowhere near winning again, he would be able to start from scratch and make the necessary changes.
The stats are there for all to see in black and white, and they make seriously grim reading for Spieth fans.
Jordan Spieth’s worrying PGA Tour stats in 2026
The huge concern for Spieth is that there has not been one redeeming feature in his golf game this season.
He has really struggled in every single department.
The 32-year-old is ranked 69th in strokes gained off the tee and 78th in strokes gained approach.
Spieth is ranked 54th in strokes gained putting and 78th in strokes gained around the green.
The Texan is ranked 49th in scrambling and 111th in sand saves.
Overall, Jordan Spieth is ranked 61st in strokes gained total on the PGA Tour.
The fact that he isn’t inside the top 48 in any of the key categories this season tells its own story.
Spieth is a long, long way from being in a position to win again, and the sooner he realises that, the better it will be for him.
