John Terry is being made to wait to see if he will land his first job in professional football with Al-Shabab seemingly on the verge of a move to the Middle Eastern side.

The former Chelsea captain is now waiting on presidential elections at the Saudi Pro-League side to see what role he may be offered.

An exclusive report from The Sun detailed how the Saudi side were on the verge of agreeing a deal with the former Chelsea defender to become the club’s new manager but as mentioned he is being made to wait.

If the move does go through, the one-time England captain will be joining the exodus of Premier League legends moving to the Middle Eastern country.

Terry, according to the report, was approached by bosses at Al-Shabab around a month ago and has been offered a contract of at least two years and up to four if it is rubber-stamped as expected.

Terry and Gerrard in the same league

For years it was the norm. Having Steven Gerrard and John Terry in the same league was a given and for a few months back in 2005, it seemed likely that the pair would be playing together.

Well now they will be back in the same division but this time as opposing managers. Al-Shabab is not considered one of the main players in the Saudi League but they have big ambitions.

Al-Ettifaq, who have recruited well with the signings of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum to their midfield roster, are certainly considered a much bigger threat to the established order of the Saudi Pro League.

It is said that the Saudi side believes that Terry possesses the coaching credentials and reputation to attract more star names to their club in order to build up the club to compete with the Saudi juggernauts of the division.
