Mikel Arteta has proven time and time again that he is pulling no punches at Arsenal.
The task is simple, he wants to end Arsenal’s two-decade wait to become champions of England and he is determined to get it done, no matter what!
To do that, you need to make unpopular calls, upset people, and leave others asking more questions about you than providing answers.
It’s fair to say, time and time again, Mikel Arteta has done just that, and so far, it’s proving to work with the team currently sitting top of the table in this pulsating three-way Premier League title race.
One player who was at the end of the Arsenal boss’s ruthless actions was the now-demoted number-one goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale.
John Hartson has admitted that he is ‘surprised’ the £30 million signing is still at the club, as he told talkSPORT (27/03/24 at 8:40 am).
It’s clear as day David Raya is the main man between the sticks, including helping Arsenal beat Porto on penalties in the Champions League.
Aaron Ramsdale did play against Brentford recently because his partner in crime was ineligible to play and, it’s fair to say, he got away with one.

“You also have mentioned there the goalkeeper,” said Hartson. “He (Arteta) was pretty much questioned when he moved Ramsdale out.
“I am surprised Ramsdale didn’t ask for a move, on the back of that because he would have been really disappointed. If I was him, I would have been saying ‘look, you preferred the other one to me and I am good enough to play’.
“If you are a good enough goalkeeper, which he is, you have to back yourself to play every week. You don’t want to be a second-choice goalkeeper if you are that good. I thought he was fantastic.”

Will Aaron Ramsdale leave Arsenal in the summer?
You have to say that the 25-year-old has no choice because, otherwise, he will continue to warm the bench.
Ramsdale should probably consider himself lucky that he is getting picked by Gareth Southgate for England and will probably now go to Euro 2024.
But if he wants to continue that, then he will need to leave.
Sources have told HITC Football that Ramsdale could hop across London and join Chelsea, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side keen on the player.
