John Hartson has said on Football Pass that Celtic will sell Odsonne Edouard, amid speculation linking him with Arsenal and Liverpool.

The former Celtic and Arsenal striker believes that Edouard will leave the Hoops at the end of the season.

Hartson has said that the Hoops managed to keep the 23-year-old for this season by convincing him that he could help them win the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row.

However, that did not happen, as Rangers have already won the league title this season.

Journalist Ian McGarry said on the Transfer Window Podcast last week that Liverpool and Arsenal are chasing Celtic striker Edouard, as covered by HITC Sport.

Hartson has said on Football Pass: “Edouard, I think, will leave the football club. I think Celtic sold him the 10 in a row at the start of the season. It hasn’t quite worked out as they planned. I think Edouard will leave.”

Odsonne Edouard to Liverpool or Arsenal?

Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and the 23-year-old is ready to take the next step in his career.

The Frenchman would make Liverpool better and would give manager Jurgen Klopp another option in attack.

Although Arsenal have a strong attacking unit, manager Mikel Arteta could do with an experienced and quality striker such Edouard to give more competition to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, Celtic are unlikely to sell Edouard on the cheap and will want a sizeable transfer fee.

According to WhoScored, Edouard has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 23 Scottish Premiership starts for the Hoops this season.
