Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, journalist Ian McGarry has shared that Liverpool are now interested in Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.
The French forward is hot property heading into the summer transfer window as he enters the final year of his contract, and the likes of Arsenal and Leicester have recently been linked to the striker.
However, the Premier League champions are now reportedly in the market for the forward who has netted 16 goals in the SPFL this season.
“Liverpool and Arsenal are two teams who are chasing Odsonne Edouard of Celtic, Duncan, a player who we have mentioned a few times on the podcast. Mostly with regards to Arsenal’s interest,” McGarry said.
“What I think is interesting about the fact that Liverpool have entered the equation is that they have done so on the basis that they expect or at least suspect one of the front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino or Sadio Mane may leave in the summer,”

This is certainly an interesting update.
The fact that Liverpool are interested in Edoaurd is intriguing, but the bigger update here is that they expect one of the front three to leave this summer.
If Salah, Mane of Firmino do leave at the end of the season, there will be big shoes to fill at Anfield, and there are bound to be question marks about whether or not Edouard is good enough to fill the massive void that will be left behind.
Edouard is certainly a talented player, so this is a situation worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
